What’s Luck got to do with it, St. Patricks Day & ME

I was in the first or second grade.  The summer camp bus was late. I said to my sister Leslie, “I’m bored, what should I do?”  She simply said, “find a four leaf clover”.  I said. “Okay.”

After scratching around the grass for a short while I plucked out a four leaf clover and said.. “Okay, found one!  Here it is.  What do I do now?”  Still waiting for the bus.  She calmly said, “Find another one!”
“Okay.”
Just as I found the second four leaf clover, the bus came.  I gave one to her and asked her to hold them, she was older and she put them in her coin purse for safe keeping.

I remember one regular stop had a large ivy wall with steps down the hillside to the street. That morning the little boy was literally being dragged down the stairs screaming, “I don’t want to go.”  Wow.  The parent insisted, it was a tug of war getting him down the stairway and shoved into the front passenger seat. He always sat up front and each ride the driver would say to him, keep your arm inside the bus, do not have your arm hanging out the window.  It was a constant reminder at least once each trip, usually several times each trip.  We all thought it was a joke.

Leslie and I had swimming that day – fun!  I don’t remember what else.  But the ride home was different.  It was a different driver.  We turned up an alley and at a “T” intersection another car must have come barreling down the road and hit our little bus broadside.  This old fashioned bus had a window separating the cab from the back; and there were benches along sides like a ‘U’ shape, no seat belts. The back door swung opened to let the passengers in and out of the rear.  I was one of the smallest kids and as we were hit I landed on the bottom of a large pile of bodies.   It was surreal, fast and slow motion all the same time. There were kids moaning and bodies piled.  The doors squeeked and I heard muffled metal sounds the back door creaking as they were finally opened. People were helping us out.  My sister grabbed me and I had blood all over but it wasn’t mine.  The kid on top of the pile above me cracked his head or had a sever head wound and it was his blood.  Luckily the towels were wet from swimming and Leslie took care of checking me out; cleaning me off.  I was okay; she was okay.  We must have had a change of shirt that she changed me into. We were the only two kids that were okay.  Everyone else had major/severe injuries.  The kid that was screaming and dragged into the bus that morning.. his arm was crushed and I remember a group of men teaming together saying 1, 2, 3, push.. to work together to lift the bus off his arm.  The accident was a front page of the local newspaper.  Every single person in thdat bus ha serious injuries…  except for Leslie and me.  And when we were leaving the hospital (they almost didn’t take us from the scene of the accident to the hospital  because they didn’t believe were were ‘in’ the bus.. but I don’t understand that cause I had been covered in blood…   but Leslie said they almost didn’t take us cause they didn’t think we were riders cause we had no injuries.

And when Leslie opened her little coin purse, to show our parents that we were saved because of the luck of the four leaf clovers…she wanted to show how lucky we were because I found the clovers that morning; both of the little clovers had vanished.  She said, the magic was used up and they went away.

So, I’m not Irish.  I choose to believe in the luck of finding a four-leaf clover.   I remember that experience.  It was real.  This was a true story.

What ever way you celebrate, do it safely.  Enjoy. Be Merry, grateful and remember…. those legends started from something, somewhere, even if it was just someone’s imagination..  But, I also believe and know for my own experience that we live in a world of many overlapping dimensions.

I do believe and actually ‘know’ – which is more then believing… thoughts are things and your intuition can guide you to be in the right place/right time to Manifest Anything.  Believe.  Stick around positive people who can support your dreams.
There are many mysteries in this world.  Some mysterious forces are powerful and benevolent.  Call on THAT.  I believe in physics in that similar energy attracts when we are dealing with thoughts and attitudes, feelings and ideas.
